2024 Vic Champs - Day 3

Kobi-Lee Dyer elevated herself to the podium for the second time in as many days on day three of the South Melbourne Physio Victorian Track & Field Championships. Taking the state title in the FP20 long jump, where she produced her best jump in the final round of competition with a leap of 4.12m.

Not to be outdone, Sam Elvey wiped almost two seconds off his 400m qualifying time to take the MU20 silver medal in a time of 47.87s, while photo finish operators required measurements to the thousandth in determine Alexia Loizou’s 4th placing in the FOP event.

Frankston 400m runners were dominant on weekend one of the Victorian Championships, with a total of five representatives contesting finals in today’s quarter-mile events, setting the bar high for those wishing to contest the open 4x400m relay championship to be held at the On Track Nights: Zatopek:10 meet to be staged later this year.

Weekend 2 of the championship will commence on Friday the 1st of March.
